Summer 2019 Administration

The Summer 2019 administration window for Government will close on Friday, August 2, 2019. Please make sure all scheduled online and paper tests are completed before the window closes.

Summer 2019 UPS Pickup Window

The UPS pickup window opened on Monday, July 29 and will run through Tuesday, August 6, with late pickup August 7 – 8. Instructions on how to schedule a pickup can be found on the Help & Support site: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/15/2018/10/Instructions-for-UPS-Pick-Up-Requests_MD.pdf.

  • All scorable paper test materials need to be returned to Measured Progress no later than August 8 in order to avoid delays in score reporting.

Scheduling Test Sessions

You are now able to schedule test sessions using the HSA Portal. As a reminder, there is a small tutorial on the Help and Support site about creating classes and test sessions: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/training/.

Summer 2019 Paper Testing

We have created an ancillary document for the Paper Test Administration that provides the page numbers for the start of each session. This was mentioned in the Summer 2019 Test Administration Manual on page 1. That document has been posted to the Help & Support site (https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/reference-sheets/). Please be sure to share this document with the STCs in schools administering a paper test.

Summer 2019 Administration Presentation

We have posted the Summer Administration Overview for LACs PowerPoint to the Help & Support site. You can find it on the Training page under the PowerPoints header: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/training/.

Summer Administration Manuals

The digital copies of Summer 2019 Administration manuals are posted to the Help & Support site: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/guides/.

Bulk Uploads During the Administration

The HSA Portal allows for bulk uploads between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. during the testing administration. We've regulated it to those hours as to not interfere with peak student testing times. The bulk functionality available during those hours are:

  • Creating and editing classes via the bulk upload
  • Bulk uploading of Accommodations
  • Exporting an Accommodations report for a school
  • Exporting a Pre-ID report from the Pre-ID Management page, and
  • Creating and editing user account (LAC & STC) via the bulk user upload

If student/class information needs to be updated between 5:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., you can make changes manually within the Portal. Students that need to be registered for the first time cannot be bulk uploaded at any time and need to be manually updated.

Test Administration Documentation

As a reminder, policy and test administration documentation can be found on the Help & Support site: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/portal-guides/. You will find instruction on topics such as: student transfer policy, program school student policy, and UPS pickup requests.

2018 – 2019 Key Dates

As a reminder, a printable PDF of all key dates for the 2018 – 2019 HSA administrations can be found on the Maryland Help & Support site on the Home page. The direct link to the document is: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/15/2019/02/Maryland_HSA_Key_Dates_External_2019_1.5.pdf

May 2019 Administration Presentation

We have finished updating the TCM PowerPoint and have posted it on the MD Help & Support site for your use. You can find on our Training page under the PowerPoints header: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/training/.

  • Maryland HSA Modules. We have created small module videos that cover various activities you would accomplish for an administration. There are two versions of each video – one with closed captions and one without. Both can be found on our Trainings page: https://maryland.onlinehelp.measuredprogress.org/training/.

Online Practice Tests

The online practice tests are live via the HSA Kiosk and your browser at https://hsapracticetest.measuredprogress.org/student/login. Usernames and passwords to the 2019 HSA practice tests are as follows:
